Sisterhood

Our sisterhood paves the way for a happy, healthy, and engaging college life. Through events like paint nights on campus, ten-pin bowling off campus, and even s’mores bonfires on our camping retreat, our chapter’s friendships grow into a life-long sisterhood. These events build a support network within our chapter that exists in all aspects of daily life. Our sisters spend time with each other by waking up early to watch the sunrise, going on ski trips together, exploring new Worcester restaurants, or even just doing homework together on campus, strengthening the sisterhood even outside of scheduled events.

For many of our sisters, our chapter is a home away from home, and quite literally for sisters from all around the world. Our sisters stay connected to our chapter through annual events such as Big/Little Reveal, where alumni are invited to attend, and formals that take place on and off-campus. Retreats that encourage reflection, learning more about each other, and - very importantly - laughter help make our sisters more committed to each other. Sisterhood is what makes us feel that we are not just in a chapter, but that we belong in our chapter.

A strong sisterhood is an essential part of belonging in the Iota Xi chapter of Alpha Xi Delta. It creates deep bonds with life-long friends, which support and motivate each other in all aspects of our lives to help us become the best version of ourselves. This Sisterhood motivates us to realize our potential, our motto, because we know that no matter what, through thick and thin, our sisters will be there for us.
